Jacqueline is a freelance Medical and Biological illustrator residing in Sarnia, Ontario. Originally from Michigan, Jackie pursued her artistic talents at the University of Michigan, where she received a bachelor's degree in Scientific Illustration and a Master's degree in Medical and Biological Illustration. Jackie's portfolio includes illustrations for the National Zoological Park, the Shanghai Natural History Museum, Ferndale Pharmaceuticals, Natural Histroy Magazine, and more. Her work can be seen in the world renowned reference set, Grzimek's Animal Life Encyclopedia, by Gale Publishing. She also has experience in graphic design and web graphics.

 

Jacqueline's career is not only driven by her love for art, but more so by her intrigue with nature and science. Each illustration requires an understanding of the subject matter in order to properly convey it to the audience. Jacqueline enjoys the research and learning involved in each illustration. Her education included courses in Biology, Gross Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Embryology, to name a few.

Outside of her science illustration career, Jacqueline is also an adjunct professor at St. Clair County Community College, as well as Lambton College.  She instructs courses in Digital Illustration, Animation, Photoshop and Illustrator, Foundation Drawing and Art Appreciation.

 

Jacqueline is a busy mother of two young boys. When time permits she enjoys photography and getting outside to explore and enjoy nature.
